Lenovo Launched Android 4.0 Smart TV In China

Lenovo’s K-Series first Smart TV lauched in China which operated on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Lenovo Launched its first Smart TV in China because they wanted to  it would be easier to negotiate content deals in China.

“We been very busy this spring sowing seeds for the future,” Lenovo’s CEO and chairman, Yang Yuanqing, said during the launch. “Lenovo not only wants to be a leading PC vendor, it also wants to be a global leader in providing Internet consumer devices.”

The K-series TVs come in two models each at 55-inch and 42-inch screen sizes with 1080p viewing, and uses a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core processor chip. Running on the Snapdragon S4 platform, the range starts at  6,499 yuan ($1,030) for a 42-inch set and tops out at 14,999 yuan ($2,378) for the 52-inch K91 model.
