It’s been a long wait for Android 8.1 Oreo update on Moto G4 Plus. Although, many devices are receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update, while Moto G4 Plus is stucked to Android 8.1 Oreo. The Lenovo owned company has promised about the update in 2017, well they are now serving the same. It is surprising news for the owners of Moto G4 Plus, which will get an update notification after a year.
There are many changes that the new update will bring to Moto G4 Plus. It will get all the Android Pie features including a new UI, navigation gestures, new volume controls, temporary rotation and screenshot editing. There are plenty of other fixes and performance tweaks.
It’s the last big upgrade for Moto G4 Plus, now Motorola will focus on newer devices. Motorola will soon announce the Android 9.0 Pie for the Moto Z3 Play. As per the update rollout plan of Android 9.0 Pie, Moto Z3 Play and few other devices were part of it.
In order to manually check the Moto G4 Play Android Oreo update, head over to the Settings Menu>>About>>Check for updates. We suggest you switch to WIFi networks before downloading the update to save some carrier costs.
