Motorola launches Moto X4 in India at Rs.20,999

The Moto X4 was first unveiled at IFA, Berlin in September of this year. Last month, Motorola even launched an Android One version of this phone in the US with support for Project Fi. And today, after teasing the phone for a couple of weeks, Motorola officially announced the Moto X4 in India.

As for the specifications, the new Moto X sports a 5.2 inches FHD display on the front with a fingerprint sensor below it. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB of internal storage, whereas the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of internal storage. Though the back of the phone is made up of glass, it does not support wireless charging.

For optics, there is a dual camera setup consisting of a 12MP sensor with dual auto-focus and a 8MP ultra wide angle sensor. The 12MP sensor has an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.4 micron pixels. On the other hand, the 8MP sensor has a 120 degree field of view and comes with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12 micron pixels. For selfies, there is a 16MP shooter at the front with an aperture of f/2.0 and 1 micron pixels. It is also accompanied by a flash which will be useful in low light.

Further, it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The best thing about this phone is that it can connect with 4 bluetooth speakers. Another USP of this device is that it is even IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. It also comes with several other Moto tweaks which is found in other Motorola smartphones. Finally, the whole package is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging with the help of the bundled charger.

The phone will retail for Rs.20,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs.22,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. It is exclusive to Flipkart and the sale starts from 11:59 PM today itself. The launch offer includes 10% off when buying with HDFC credit/debit cards and discounts on exchanging your old smartphone.
