Nokia is seeding a January security patch update for Nokia 3 in many countries. As of now Nokia is rolling the January security patch to its Nokia 3 budget device. The Finnish company is rolling out the first security patch of 2018 to Nokia 3. Soon, the other devices will get the patch with major security fixes.
Nokia 3 January security patch update weighs around 80MB. If, you’re short on data usage than you can switch to WiFi network to save few bucks. The update might have arrived on your device or it may be reaching out to your device within next few hours. You can also manually check for the update by heading to the settings menu.
The January Security patch packs major fixes for severe Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities. All the Android devices which are not working with January security patch are vulnerable to these bugs.
It’s good to see that Nokia is also providing the software support for devices which are not its flagships. As per the Nokia’s update policy, all its Android devices will receive 2 years of upgrades. It’s a good move from Nokia that they are not only giving the udapes but continuous updates, every month.
