As expected and rumored, Nokia announced its first series of Android smartphones at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year. The smartphones named Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are making headlines since their announcement. Today these smartphones made an entry to the Indian market.
Nokia is still one of the most trusted smartphone brands in India. All three smartphones fall in the mid-range category and offer stock Android experience with almost no bloatware pre-installed.
Already, Nokia has annocuned these devices in Finland, UK, Malaysia and few other nations. HMD is trying to announce it globally and by the end of this month. Nokia is also coming with flagship, Nokia 9 in the next quarter if this year.
Nokia 6
Nokia 6 offers best specifications among all three devices and is launched at a price tag of INR 14,999. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD 2.5D display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. The handset comes with 32GB of internal storage (expandable upto 128GB with a microSD card). At the camera front, it sports a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also supports phase detection auto-focus and dual LED flash. The smartphone packs a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Nokia 5
Nokia 5 is yet another mid-range device by Nokia priced at INR 12,899. The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch HD display protected with Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It offers a 16GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It comes with a 13MP rear snapper and 8 MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Nokia 3
Nokia 3 is the least expensive and budget-friendly offering by Nokia. The smartphone is competitively priced at INR 9,499. The handset sports a 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone gets its power from MediaTek 6737 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz. It features 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card. The smartphone packs 8MP camera on both front and back. The affordable device packs a decent 2,650mAh battery. It also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Nokia 6 is priced at Rs. 14,999, the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are priced at Rs. 12,899 and Rs. 9,499 respectively. Also, Nokia 6 is going to be exclusively available from Amazon but the others are going to be made available offline.
