Nova Launcher gets Dynamic Notification Badges, stable release

Nova launcher has been testing dynamic notification badges for more than a month now. It has been available for beta users since March. But now it’s out of Beta and Nova Prime users can profit from the new updated version 5.1. However, If you are not a Nova Prime user, you will need to become a Prime user to make use of it.

Notification badges are the small number counts displayed in the corner of an app icon to inform the user that they just received some messages. For example, if you received 10 WhatsApp messages, you will see a ‘10’ number badge at the corner of the icon. However, Notification badges are not very helpful in the sense that they don’t convey precise useful information. That is where Dynamic Notification Badges come in.

Instead of a boring number beside an app icon now you will have precise information. For example, when your friend sends you an e-mail the Dynamic Notification Badge will show an image of your friends profile instead of just a ‘1’ number.

Nova Launcher is a very popular launcher used by millions. It is full of customization features that allow the user to make their phone look like they want it to. Custom Icons, Animations, a speedy and light interface are only some of its nifty features. Head on to the Play Store to take a look.
