OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated smartphone of the year 2017. OnePlus unveiled its latest smartphone on a global stage yesterday. OnePlus 5 comes with latest Snapdragon processor, dual camera setup, a little bit improved design as compared to OnePlus 3T. But at the same time, OnePlus 5 has same 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED 1080p display as that of OnePlus 3T. OnePlus used exact same display panel in OnePlus 5 as the OnePlus 3T.

AIDA64, a hardware and software information utility application for Android platform detects a Samsung S6E3FA5 display panel on OnePlus 5 as well as OnePlus 3T. This clearly means that OnePlus 5 has no hardware improvements over last year’s OnePlus 3T as far as display is concerned. However OnePlus 5 comes with some cool software tricks for display such as Reading Mode which automatically changes color temperature of the display based on the lighting condition. Also OnePlus 5 display panel packs Gorilla Glass 5 protection as opposed to Gorilla Glass 4 protection on OnePlus 3T.

Use of same, old display panel in OnePlus 5 is not a deal breaker because OnePlus offers other great stuff worth looking out in OnePlus 5. OnePlus will launch its flagship smartphone today in India. We will know pricing information of OnePlus 5 in the launch event. Stay connected with us for more information regarding the same.
