OnePlus Nord was announced last year in July powering Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5.9. Now, the mid-range smartphone is receiving the first update of the year — OxygenOS 10.5.11 along with the January 2021 security patch and other system stability improvements.

OnePlus Nord OxygenOS 10.5.11 update
OnePlus seems to be a bit lazy in terms of updates to its Nord device. We know that the company is active in rolling out frequent updates for its flagship devices but, OnePlus Nord is receiving security update far late than other OEMs. After a wait of over several months, the device sans Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update. Moreover, unlike devices from other OEMs, the OnePlus Nord is still getting a January 2021 security update.
Additionally, the Open Beta Android 11 for OnePlus Nord is at the final testing stage and we expect a stable Android 11 update soon. It is expected that OnePlus Nord will get Android 11 by end of February. But now, with this security update, the stable release of Android 11 may get delayed by a month.

OnePlus Nord Specifications
OnePlus Nord was announced last year in July featuring a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with an Octa-core CPU and Adreno 620 GPU. The device is available in 64 GB + 6 GB RAM, 128 GB + 8 GB RAM and 256 GB + 12 GB RAM storage variants.
Regarding the camera, it houses a quad-rear setup consisting of 48 MP wide + 8 MP ultrawide + 5 MP depth + 2 MP macro sensors. There is a dual-front camera module carrying 32 MP wide + 8 MP ultrawide sensors.
