We can see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 making its debut near mid-November. As with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the company is likely to use TSMC’s 4nm node again with the upcoming chipset. In addition, it could opt for a “1 + 2 + 2 + 3” cluster instead of the “1 + 3 + 4” CPU cluster. In this case, the SoC will deliver a high-performance core codenamed “Makalu.”

Moreover, the leaks suggest that the processor will offer significant growth in GPU performance. Also, it can provide around 10% overall performance upliftment of the chipset. Furthermore, SD 8 Gen 2 processor is expected to be paired with the company’s most recent Snapdragon X70 5G modem. It will enable the processor to use up to 60% less power and still achieve new peak download speeds.
