Oppo has started rolling out June security patch update to a list of devices namely, Reno 2F, Reno 2Z, and Find X. While Reno 2F and Reno 2Z are receiving this update on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9, Find X gets the update on ColorOS 7 based on Android 10. The new update comes with version number CPH1989EX_11_A.18 for Reno 2F and CPH1945EX_11_A.25 for Reno 2Z in India. Oppo Find X is receiving the update in two major markets, India and Europe, and upgrades the version number to CPH1871PU_11.F.11 and CPH1875EU_11_F.10 respectively.
For Oppo Reno 2F and 2Z, this update only upgrades the security patch and does not include any incremental changes. However, Oppo Find X gets some add-in features alongside June security patch. The device gets a new feature in the screen recording section, wherein you can now record system sound while screen recording. This feature may prove quite useful in certain situations. It proves quite handy and lets you save online streaming videos from any platform, save video calls and conferences, and helps to get technical assistance easily.
Moreover, the update adds a new folder that lets you save compressed files in File Manager. It also adds a new feature to the Mail app that now supports Exchange accounts, using which you can now manage all of your email accounts within the Mail app. It also brings a fix to the issue where the audio in WeChat’s voice chats would cut in and out when your phone was connected to your smartwatch.
The update is being sent over-the-air to the aforementioned devices and you should receive it soon, if not already. If you already received this update lately, do let us know your views and feedback in the comments below.
