Oppo Reno 7 series launched in China with Android 11 based on ColorOS 12

Oppo has finally introduced the successor series for Reno 6 series released in June this year. The lineup consists of three smartphones— Oppo Reno 7 5G, Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G. For now, the smartphones will ve available in their home country. Also, there are no words regarding the global launch by the company.

All three smartphones feature a similar punch-hole design with an AMOLED display. The rear panel of the devices features a gradient back finish, giving a premium look. The dual camera lenses are housed inside a vertically aligned rectangular module.

Though smartphones are different altogether, they do have some common grounds as well. This includes:

  • AMOLED display with 1,080Ă—2,400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
  • Android 11 OS based on ColorOS 12
  • A 4,500mAh battery (with a different charging capacity).
  • Connectivity options: dual-SIM (Nano), 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port are similar on all the devices.
  • Sensors: accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo Reno 7 5G features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device measures 158.2Ă—73.2Ă—7.45mm in dimensions and weighs 180 grams. It draws power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with up to 256GB of storage and 12GB RAM.

For shooting purposes, Oppo Reno 7 5G carries a triple rear camera setup. This indulges a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. The other side holds a 32MP Sony IMX709 front-facing camera. It supports 60W Flash Charge fast charging.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G

Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max SoC under the hood. It offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device measures 158.2Ă—73.2Ă—7.45mm and weighs 180 grams. The phone has a dual 4,500mAh power cell battery that supports 65W fast charging.

In the Optics department, Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G has a 50MP triple rear camera. The other lenses include a wide-angle shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. A 32MP Sony IMX709 camera serves selfies and video call purposes.

Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G

Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G is built inside a 6.43-inch full-HD+ display measuring 160.2Ă—73.2Ă—7.45mm in dimensions and weighing 171 grams. Under the hood, it equips an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. A 33W fast charging holds the lights of the device.

To take pictures, Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G equips a triple rear camera consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP sensor to measure depth. On the other side, there’s a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera sensor.

Availability and Price

The Oppo Reno 7 5G and Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G will be up to grab in China from December 3. Whereas the Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G will hit the market from December 17. The lineup will arrive in three color options— Morning Gold, Star Rain Wish, and Starry Night Black.

Oppo Reno 7 5G will offer three storage variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The device starts for CNY 2,699 (approx. Rs. 31,500) and goes up to CNY 3,299 (approx Rs. 38,500). While the median model stands in between at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 35,000).

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G will cost CNY 3,699 (approx Rs. 43,200) for the base mode (8GB + 256GB). And the upper variant (12GB + 256GB) is tagged with CNY 3,999 (approxRs. 46,700).

The cheapest model is the Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G which is priced at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs. 25,700) for the 8GB + 128GB model and CNY 2,399 (approx. Rs. 28,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model.
