India has marked the launch of a new budget smartphone with the Poco M4 5G. The device sites below the Poco M4 Pro 5G that went official in the country earlier this year. Here is a closer look at the latest affordable offering by Xiaomi.

Poco M4 5G features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The panel offers a dewdrop notch, a Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
At the front, the Poco M4 5G houses an 8MP camera to serve selfies and video calls. On the rear side, there’s a dual-camera setup alongside a LED flash. The module consists of a 50MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Poco M4 5G draws power from the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Also, it supports a virtual RAM feature of up to 2GB and a microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 512GB.
Moreover, Xiaomi has packed the Poco M4 5G with a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. On the software front, it offers Android 12 tossed with MIUI 13 on top. The other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, and more.
