Poco launched a new device under the F lineup with the name Poco F4 in June 2022. The pricing of Poco F4 starts at ₹27,999 for the base 6GB/ 128GB variant. While the mid 8GB/ 128GB and top 12GB/ 256GB models is priced at ₹29,999 and ₹33,999, respectively. The device features a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Underneath, it sports the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

The smartphone runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It features a triple-rear camera setup comprising a primary 64MP sensor on the optics side. It is followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit and a 2MP macro sensor. Up front, it gets a 20MP lens that sits inside the punch-hole. All this is backed by a 4500 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging support.

It launched another device to its F lineup with the name Poco F4 GT in April 2022. It was launched in Europe with a price tag of EUR 599, which converts to Rs 50000. The device is a global variant of the Chinese Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.

It is available in three color options: Knight Silver, Cyber Yellow, and Stealth Black. The smartphone sports a 6.67 inches AMOLED display with a punch hole in the center. Underneath, it features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The chipset pairs with 8 /1 2GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 / 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Poco F4 GT features a triple rear camera setup with a primary 64MP Sony IMX 686 sensor. It pairs with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it features a 20MP Sony IMX 596 sensor. This is backed by a 4700 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging tech. It also runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.

  • [January 30, 2023]: The MIUI 14 update is also rolling out on Poco F4 globally and in European Economic Area. The new POCO F4 MIUI 14 update bears firmware version V14.0.1.0.TLMINXM and includes December 2022 security patches including enhanced performance and battery life.
  • [January 26, 2023]: The Poco F4 GT Global is getting a new update with the firmware V14.0.1.0.TLJMIXM. The build also improves privacy and security along with the December 2022 security patch.

  • [November 7, 2022]: The Poco F4 GT Global receives a new update with firmware 13.0.10.0.SLJMIXM | 12.0. The build improves system security by the including September 2022 security patch.

  • [August 29, 2022]: Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update for the Poco F4 smartphone. It is live for the global, Indian and EEA units. The update brings the August 2022 security patch to the smartphone. The update comes with the firmware version V13.0.7.0.SLMEUXM for EEA units, V13.0.4.0.SLMINXM for Indian and V13.0.5.0.SLMMIXM for global units. It is rolling out as OTA and users can download the incremental update & install it. The Indian users running on V13.0.3.0, EEA users on V13.0.6.0 and V13.0.4.0 for global users. Other users will have to wait for the OTA update
  • [August 19, 2022]: Poco has started pushing a new update for the Poco F4 GT smartphone. The update features the firmware version number V13.0.8.0.SLJEUXM. Poco has integrated the August 2022 security patch with the update. Users running on 12.0 can download the incremental update and install it. It is live for the units of EEA and is a stable beta update. The update also increases the system security of the smartphone. The users can also download the full ROM and update using recovey.
  • [June 1, 2022]: Poco has started rolling out a new update for the global units of the Poco F4 GT. The update comes with the firmware version number V13.0.5.0.SLJMIXM. It is pushed via Over the Air and will take some time to reach your device. It is a pity that Poco still includes April 2022 Security Patch with the update.
