Xiaomi’s spin-off brand Redmi is preparing to unveil a new smartphone: Redmi 11 Prime 5G. Before its official launch, the smartphone made an appearance on Xiaomi’s official website. This indicates that the phone could launch soon in some markets, including India. Here is what we know about the handset so far.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G was spotted on the security update list that is released by the company every month. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal much about the upcoming smartphone. Although it indicates that the 5G-powered device will be exclusive to India as a mid-range offering.
As mentioned, the company did not officially confirm the news. However, we can soon hear an announcement and other details about the device. Now that the Redmi 11 Prime 5G has started emerging online, more details of the phone can be revealed in the coming days.
The Redmi 11 Prime 5G will sit over the Redmi 10 Prime that was launched last year in September. Needless to say, the upcoming model will come with a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

The portal confirmed the presence of Android 12 out of the box along with a few connectivity options onboard. It will come with support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GSM, and LTE Band 5.
