The Chinese smartphone brand – Redmi has officially launched Redmi 9 Prime in India at an affordable price tag. The smartphone features are similar to the Spanish version of Redmi 9 which was launched back in June. It appeared with a quad rear camera and a huge 5,020 mAh battery.
Pricing and Availability
Redmi Note 9 Prime carries a price tag of Rs. 9,999 for 4GB RAM, 64 GB Storage model and Rs 11,999 for 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. It will be available in Space Blue, Sunrise Flare, Matte Black and Mint Green color variants. The first sale of the smartphone is going to start on August 6 via Amazon. Furthermore, it will also be available for sale on Mi Home, Mi.com, and Mi Studios in the upcoming days.
Redmi Note 9 Prime Specifications
Redmi Note 9 Prime sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS display with 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 394 PPI density, 400 nits brightness, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with an Octa-core processor and Mali-G52 GPU. The device is available in two variants i.e 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
In-camera, it packs a quad rear camera setup that compromises of the 13-MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, 8-MP ultra-wide-angle lens having an aperture of f/2.2, a 5-MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, a 2-MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8-MP front-facing camera.
Coming to the last part, the device still runs on MIUI 11 which is based on Android 10. The smartphone fuels with a 5020mAh battery including fast-charging up to 18W. In connectivity, Redmi 9 Prime includes Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C etc. The smartphone measures 163.32 x 77.01 x 9.1 mm and weighs around 198 grams.
