Redmi Note 12 series launched: Specs, Features and Pricing

Redmi Note 12 series is finally official with five different smartphone variants including Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and a couple of special edition phones – Redmi Note 12 Yibo Edition and Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition. All these smartphones are available in different storage variants, pricing and colours. Let’s talk about each variant in detail –

Redmi Note 12 

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch punch hole Samsung AMOLED display featuring 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and an a120Hz refresh rate. The display further offers 4096-level dimming and 1200 nits peak brightness level.

It features a 48MP primary camera sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor, meanwhile, an 8MP shooter sits on the front.

Redmi Note 12 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 carrying 4/6/8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256 GB UFS 2.2 storage. In connectivity, the smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm audio input, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi.

The smartphone houses a 5000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Redmi Note 12 is retailing in three colour options black, white, and blue. It is launched in four different storage variants – 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage priced at approx ~$166, $179, $207 and $235.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 

The smartphone houses a 6.67-inch display featuring a punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and 160000 level dimming. The display further supports 20:9 panel support, and a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It supports HDR10+, HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

It is powered with MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, 6/8/12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Redmi Note 12 Pro bundles a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

In connectivity, the user gets a 3.5mm audio jack, 5G, WiFi 6, NFC and USB Type-C.

Redmi Note 12 Pro houses a 50MP IMX766 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The 16MP front-facing camera is present for selfies and video calling.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and Discovery Edition

The smartphone houses an identical display, chipset and storage to Redmi Note 12 Pro. But, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus edition offers a 3000mm² VC cooling system, better than 2000mm² VC in Pro mode.

Redmi Note 12 Yibo Edition

Instead of the 50MP IMX766 primary sensor, the Pro Plus and Discovery Edition come with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX primary camera with OUS and 7P lens packing.

The charging speed clocks at 120W for the Pro Plus model and the Discovery Edition offers 210W fast charging.

The Pro Plus model retails for ~$304 for 8GB + 256GB RAM and the 12GB + 256GB  model goes for $332. It is available in three colour options Black, White and Blue

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition is only available in 8GB RAM + 256Gb storage for ~$332 in the black colour option.

There’s the fifth model i.e the Yibo Edition which houses all the specs of Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, but the look is a bit different.
