The first Max Payne game will be hitting iOS and (presumably) href=”http://code.google.com/android/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Android”>Android devices soon much like the original re-release of Grand Theft Auto III. The Grand Theft Auto creator has posted a Q&A session where they take questions from fans who want to know details about their upcoming Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto V. Here is the relevant exchange from the Q&A:

Yes – following the release of Grand Theft Auto III for iOS (and Android devices) late last year, the original Max Payne will be our next release for mobile devices. We will have an official announcement soon confirming the release date, but you can expect it to finally be released sometime in the next couple months.
Max Payne will get the same treatment as GTA III when it does go mobile, a full HD port tailored to the mobile experience. I can’t wait to see how href=”http://www.rockstargames.com/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Rockstar Games”>RockStar pulls this one off.
