Samsung Galaxy A02 receiving January 2021 Security Patch update


Samsung recently rolled out new updates to the Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S21 series, Note10 and some other devices. Now, Galaxy A02 is being updated to January 2021 Security Patch. The update brings the Firmware version A022FXXU1AUA6 and is being rolled out in some countries via OTA.

Presently, the changelog of the update is not available yet. However, the new update includes bug fixes, enhancements and other security improvements released by Google in January. It also includes bug fixes which were available in the previous security patch. The smartphone is expected to fair better after the update which carries bug fixes and other improvements.

The user can check manually check for the update by navigating to Settings>Software updates>Download and install. 

Samsung Galaxy A02 specifications

The smartphone hosts a 6.5-inch PLS IPS display and 720×1600 pixel resolution. It houses a 5,000mAh battery and runs on Android 10 based One UI 2.0 Operating System. It is paired with 3GB RAM and internal storage of 32GB.
