Samsung Galaxy M01 and M11 Entry-level smartphones launched in India

Samsung has finally launched the entry-level Galaxy M01 and the M11 in India. These phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs and Samsung has priced these phones under the Rs.15,000 segment. The phones are already available on all e-commerce platforms today and soon they will be available in offline markets.

Samsung Galaxy M01 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M01 has a 5.71-inch HD+ TFT LCD display with a Infinity-V notch. The display has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. The 12nm SoC is aided by Adreno 505 GPU to handle graphic duties.

The phone has a single variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. However, it comes in Black, Blue, and Red color models. On the back, it has two cameras – a 13MP f/2.2 and a 2MP f/2.4  sensor. The V-shaped notch on the front has a 5MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.

The phone has a 4,000mAh battery. Sadly, there is no Fingerprint sensor and support for fast charging. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dual Nano-SIM support, and a Micro-USB port for charging. Additionally, the Galaxy M01 has external storage expansion that can expand up to 512 GB storage via a microSD card.  It also has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS for connectivity. Galaxy M11 has a 6.4-inch Infinity-O HD+ display with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels. Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC powers the device and Adreno 506 GPU is there for demanding tasks.

The phone has a triple camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The camera setup include a 13MP f/1.8 primary shooter with an additional 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. There is an 8MP sensor to take selfies in the front. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.

When we look at variants, the Galaxy M11 include a 3/4GB of RAM, and 32/64 GB of internal storage respectively. As always there is provision for expansion of storage. The phone also has a Dual SIM card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE support. It has a USB-type C instead of the Micro USB port found on the M01.

Pricing and Availability

Both the Galaxy M01 and the M11 run One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box. The Samsung Galaxy M01 is priced at Rs.8,999 for the 3/32 variant while its sibling M11 starts at Rs.10,999 for 3/32 Variant. Also, the higher 4/64 model of the M11 will retail at Rs.12,999.
