Snapchat is the next big thing in the social media game. But, they are now facing a strong competition from Instagram. This led to the company’s new decision to revamp the Snapchat app for Android. And even they are trying to add new features and functionalities now and then. With that being said, a new feature is now rolling out to Snapchat users. The Snapchat app can now suggest filters based on your snaps.
Whenever you click a new picture, the Snapchat app will automatically recognize the picture with the help of their algorithm. Then, it will suggest you filters based on that picture. These filters will be available in the the carousel of filters which you can access by simply swiping over your snap.
For example, if you are clicking a picture of food, a relevant filter will be suggested like in the picture below. The same goes with your pets, outdoor, etc.
This can come in handy when you are confused or too lazy to select appropriate filter for your snap. In case you do not know, Snapchat already provides this kind of ‘smart filters’ which shows time, temperature and speed.
