Spotify will soon get offline listening feature on Wear OS

Most of you guys enjoy listening to music offline via Spotify. The ability to listen to music even when you are offline is one of the greatest features which Spotify introduced. It is even better when smartwatches came with the feature of streaming music. Some watches even came with the feature of playing local music stored in the watch. But these watches never had the support of downloading music on Spotify. In contrast, Apple watches had the option of downloading music on Spotify. But, it never came to Google’s Wear OS. For some, the same was a drawback because when you are away from home and is not in a network covered area, there was no option to play songs. But now, Spotify has introduced offline music in Google’s Wear OS. It is a great addition to have and a lot of users have been waiting for the same.

Spotify has nailed by announcing the same when Samsung had just announced its new Galaxy Watch which runs on Wear OS. Even though Spotify’s announcement only highlights the new watches from Samsung, you can access this feature with watches running on Wear OS 2 and higher versions. Also, do update your Spotify app to enjoy the new feature. Do note that you must be a premium user to download music on Spotify. Make sure to subscribe for premium else you would not be able to enjoy this feature and will have to hear ads.

You can download your playlist/music by tapping on the Download to watch option. Further, to check the progress, head to the Downloads option in your watch. The offline music or playlists will be highlighted in green colour when downloaded. And you can listen to this by connecting your AirPods or other Bluetooth earphones or TWS. With the introduction of this feature, one need not carry his / her phone while jogging or during workouts.
