TicWatch Pro 3 gets a new update with new features, improvements, and fixes

The leading best Wear OS smartwatch – TicWatch Pro 3 has started receiving a new update with a huge number of changes and new features. The update holds the PYDA.200427.080.MRB.210114.001 Firmware version. As per the company’s information, the update is now available only for 30% of the users and it is expected to hit 50% of users by February 03, and 100% by February 4.

What’s new?

Talking about the new features first, the update brings support for adjusting the essential screen’s date format (DD-MM/MM-DD) via the Essential Mode app, the backlight through the power button in the essential mode, turning off the essential screen’s auto-backlight in the Essential Mode app. It also enables the notification sound which can be adjusted in Settings –> Sound –> Ring volume.

Coming to the improvements, the update improves the speed of the Tilt-to-wake screen by about 1/4 second, the smoothness of sliding, pairing speed when pairing with Android phones, etc. It also fixes the issue of the steps in the essential mode that might be partially lost after restarting. Apart from these, it also brings fixes for the double-clicking the function key sometimes opens other apps instead of Google pay and essential screen’s backlight could not be lit up by Tilt-to wake under certain circumstances issue.

Like all other updates, it will also be rolled out in a staged manner. So, don’t get panic and wait for a couple of days to experience the update. However, by February 4, 100% of all TicWatch Pro 3 users will be experiencing the update.
