  • [February 02, 2021]: Oppo has started seeding out the February 2021 Security Patch update to the OPPO A5 (2020) and A9 (2020) smartphones. The update is rolling out on the CPH1931EX_11_C.74 and CPH1937EX_11_C.74 Firmware version and it weighs nearly 542MB in size. Apart from the February 2021 Security Patch, there’s nothing new in the update. So, this update is only meant to increase the Security patch level of the smartphone.
  • [July 14, 2020]: OPPO A5 (2020) and A9 (2020) start receiving July 2020 Security Patch. The update is rolling out on the CPH1933EX_11_C.68 / CPH1931EX_11_C.68 for Oppo A5 (2020) and CPH1937EX_11_C.68 for A9 (2020) and it weighs nearly 694MB in size.   • [June 25, 2020]: A couple of days after the rollout of the ColorOS 7 stable update, Oppo has started seeding out the ColorOS 7.1 Update to the Oppo A5(2020) and A9(2020) smartphones. The update for Oppo A5(2020) appears on the CPH1931EX_11.C.65_1650_202006102350 Firmware version and CPH1937EX_11_C.66 for the A9(2020).   • [June 15, 2020]: The Oppo A5(2020) and Oppo A9(2020) starts getting the ColorOS 7 stable update on the CPH1931EX_11.C.65_1650_202006102350 Firmware version. The company is rolling out the updates in a phased manner and it usually takes a couple of days to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can head to Settings>Software updates>Check for the updates to manually check the update status.
