[Update: December 2023 Security Patch] Samsung Galaxy A12 update tracker

Last year ended with Samsung releasing Galaxy A12. The phone carries a 6.5-inch display that runs on Android 10, powered by Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) chipset.

• [December 26, 2023]: The unlocked Galaxy A12 is getting the December 2023 update via firmware version A125U1UES8CWL1. The carrier model in the USA is getting the December 2023 update via firmware number A125USQS7CWK5. In Europe, the December 2023 update is going live for the Galaxy A12 in numerous countries through firmware version A125FXXS4CWK3. The December 2023 security patch brings 75 fixes for known security vulnerabilities affecting Google and Samsung software and hardware.
• [April 11, 2023]: The Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho is getting One UI 5.1 update. Samsung is seeding the new firmware to the A12 Nacho with A127MUBU8DWC6 in Mexico. The European / Global variant picks up the new software update with the firmware version A127FXXU8DWC3, currently available in Russia. The upgrade comes out with a March 2023 security patch.
• [March 21, 2023]: Samsung Galaxy A12 starts receiving the March 2023 update via the firmware version A125U1UES5CWC3. You can head over to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install to grab the update.
• [January 30, 2023]: The Galaxy A12 Nacho received an Android 13 update. The firmware for the Galaxy A12 Nacho, brings the January 2023 security patch, and comes with version A127FXXS7CWA1. It is currently rolling out in more than twenty countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the UK.
• [December 30, 2022]: The Galaxy A12 Android 12 update is now rolling in Europe. The Galaxy A12 is receiving a new update with December 222 security patch.

• [December 16, 2022]: The Galaxy A12 Nacho is available with build number A127FXXU7CVL2. The Galaxy A12 Nacho is receiving a new update with December 222 security patch.
• [September 6, 2022]: Galaxy A12 becomes the latest device from the company to pick up the Android 12 update. The build is rolling out for Sprint and T-Mobile’s networks in the US with firmware version A125USQU3CVG4. In addition, the package also bumps the security maintenance to July 2022.
• [August 30, 2022]: Samsung is pushing a new update for the Galaxy A12 smartphone. It comes with the firmware version A127FXXS6BVH4 and is rolling out through OTA in Russia. The update brings the August 2022 security patch to the smartphone. It fixes various vulnerabilities relating to Samsung Knox, Samsung DeX, MAC address leaks and more. The update will be expanding to other markets in the coming days.
• [August 18, 2022]: The smartphone started receiving the much-awaited Android 12 via firmware version A125FXXU2CVH1 in Russia. You can know more here.
• [June 27, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy A12 is now upgrading to the current security maintenance, June 2022. The build is rolling out with firmware version A125MUBS3BVF1 in Brazil.
• [June 20, 2022]: Samsung is rolling out the June 2022 security update to the Galaxy A12. The update is available in India for the newer version (SM-A127F) of the phone with firmware version A127FXXU5BVF2.
• [May 26, 2022]: The Galaxy A12 is getting a new update that adds April 2022 Security Patch. The build is rolling out in the US for the Verizon carrier network via firmware version A125USQS3BVD6.
• [March 31, 2022]: The March 2022 security patch is expanding to the rebranded version of Galaxy A12— Galaxy A12 Nacho. The update is rolling out in Russia and Ukraine on firmware version A127FXXU5AVC4. Also, it brings some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
• [March 16, 2022]: Samsung is kicking off the current security maintenance, March 2022 to the Galaxy A12. Arriving on firmware version A125FZHS2BVC2, the update is currently available in Hong Kong, while it will soon roll out to other regions as well.
• [March 3, 2022]: The Galaxy A12 is getting a new update that adds February 2022 Security Patch. The build is rolling out in the US for the Verizon carrier network via firmware version A125USQS3BVB2.
• [September 24, 2021]: Samsung has pushed a new update for the users of the Samsung Galaxy A12 in Russia and Ukraine. The update comes with the build number A125FXXU1BUI3 and the global rollout of the update will begin soon. The new update brings the September 2021 security patch for the Galaxy A12 smartphone. Apart from the security patch, the update also brings several bug fixes and optimizations to the Galaxy A12.

• [February 10, 2021]: After a couple of months since launch, Samsung has decided to roll out February 2021 security patch update globally to Galaxy A12. The mid-range smartphone update is live in some countries via OTA. It brings the firmware version A125FXXU1AUB1. The update addresses all security issues along with bug fixes which were available in present builds and performance improvements. The airborne update is out in a phase-wise manner which will reach to your devices shortly or you can manually check for it via Settings > Software update > Download updates manually. In case there’s no update available, then wait for a few days.
