Update For YouTube on Google TV Coming Soon


Google today announced that in few days YouTube will get an update on Google TV. Update will include some improvements and new features. According to Google, here is what you can expect to see in the updated Youtube app on Google TV:

  • Speed improvements – Youtube for Google TV has been updated with speed improvements. According to Google, you’ll notice that the app works faster with smoother navigation. The increase in speed will definitely result in a better experience for all.
  • Discover mode – Google has added a new feature called discover mode. With discover mode, you’ll be able to browse Youtube Channels by categories, allowing you to find new videos on a number of topics.
  • New channel pages – The updated app includes new channel pages. From the new channel pages, you will be able to navigate through playlists and videos in your favorite channels and subscribe to channels with a single click.
  • More interactions with favorite channels – Google has made improvements that allow for even more interactions from your favorite channels. For instance, you can now see related videos and more videos from the same user by pressing the up or down arrows on your remote. In addition, you can now view the info screen of videos and do things like rate the video, add to your playlist, or even leave a comment
