Must see: WhatsApp Voice Call and Video Call feature rolling out for WhatsApp Web

WABetaInfo has reported that WhatsApp is now finally rolling out the ability to change the playback speed of voice messages to the beta users of the app. The latest beta update changes the app version to 2.21.9.4. The playback option allows users to play messages as 1x/1.5x/2x speed options. Tapping every time on the speed button changes the playback speed turn by turn simultaneously.

This feature is very handy if the users need a recap or just want to have a gist of the message. The playback speed feature should have come a long time ago when the voice note feature was launched. Nonetheless, the feature is arriving now as a part of the beta update and will roll via a server-side update. As of now, the feature will only be available to a few users only to test the feature. We expect the feature to soon reach other users of the WhatsApp beta group.
