[Update: October 2020 Security Patch] Xiaomi Mi A2 Update Tracker

In the Q2 of 2018, Xiaomi has officially launched Mi A2 smartphone with a 5.99-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 (14 nm) Chipset. In terms of camera, the device packs a 12-MP + 20-MP dual rear camera and a 20-MP single front-facing camera. The device is available in 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage.

Talking about the changelog, the update adds the latest Security patch, optimizations, and improvements. Apart from that, the company has not added any new features to the device. The performance and Security of the smartphone are expected to be increased by this update.
  • [October 12, 2020]: The September 2020 Security patch update has finally started hitting the Mi A2 devices. The update bears the 11.0.14.0.QDIMIXM Firmware version (Build number). Apart from the fixes and optimizations, there’s nothing new in this update. The update brings fixes for the voice echo bug while making calls and split-screen mode missing options.
  • [June 19, 2020]: Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphones have started receiving a new update with the June 2020 Security patch update. The update is rolling on the 11.0.11.0.QDIMIXM Firmware version. According to the changelog provided by the company, no new features are added. As a result, this update is only meant to increase the Security patch level and enhance the performance of the smartphone. More details of this update can be found in our article.
