It has been just a week when Mi Mix 2 set out in a concept video by designer Philippe Starck appeared on the social media. The short video was posted revealing the design and form factor of the upcoming bezel-less device from Xiaomi. In the most recent leak, however, the live photo of the Mi Mix 2 with ultra thin bezels was spotted online. Several rumors and leaks suggest that the impending Mi Mix 2 will feature thinner bezels than the Mi Mix.
Mi Mix 2 will be the company’s upcoming flagship device featuring a 6.4-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 540 GPU.
The impending device is expected to be released with three variants– the base variant will get a combination of 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the mid-range variant to include 6GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of on-board storage. The top model, however, is said to be feature 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage capacity.
On the camera front, the bezel-less device is expected to boast a 19-megapixel primary camera while it comes with a 13-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Some rumors suggest that Mi Mix 2 will be backed by a 4,500mAh powerful battery and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
The device is expected to be released shortly, some rumors indicating that the Mi Mix 2 will be released on September 12, the same day when Apple is going to release its next iPhone models.
