Looks like, the current Nokia owner – HMD Global is diligent to unveil its renewed Nokia line-up as early as possible in this new year. Since, a Chinese retailer known as Suning has teased the official release date of what is supposed to be the updated Nokia 6 2018. If that’s the case, the launch of Nokia 6(2018) will happen on coming 6th January. In fact, much faster as only few weeks are passed since the device achieved TENAA approval.
The teaser posted by Suning on its official Weibo account, explicitly seek us to wait for 3 more days as a new Nokia 6 will be unwrapped then. Well, the teaser seems to be legit as the Suning is one among Nokia official online partner in China along with the retailer JD.com. Moreover, HMD crafted Nokia devices are initially launched in Chinese market and later spread to other markets.
Courtesy to the TENAA documents, we’ve got almost all major details of the revamped Nokia 6. The Nokia 6(2018) will be having reduced bezels, however keeping the design backbone of original Nokia 6 in tact. The display will be build on 16:9 aspect ratio. Most importantly, the device is gonna powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform. Note that, its direct predecessor boarded the Snapdragon 830. Hence, the new Nokia 6 will be featuring a great bump in chipset.
For photography, the Camera module similar to Nokia 5 will have a resolution of 16 MP. Since the bezels are trimmed, the Fingerprint sensor is migrated to the backside.
As far its pricing is considered, nothing is certain now. Anyway, the retailer will be revealing the cost once the device goes official on 6th January.
