Android 11 Beta Developer Beta 1 released for Oppo Find X2 & F2 Pro (Installation Guide)

As announced by the company Android 11 developer Beta 1 is finally released for Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro.  Although, Android 11 Beta 1 was earlier released for Google Pixel devices on 10th June 2020. Android 11 Beta 1 is only compatible with Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro with model numbers CPH2023, and CPH2025, respectively. Other models are not supported so don’t try it on other phones that might cost you a data loss.

Oppo in a post says that Android 11 Beta 1 will have a ColorOS 7.2 user interface. It is packed with the latest Google Mobile Services (GMS). Talking about Android 11 features, it includes Do Not Disturb and notification tweaks, fine-tuned the permissions, New media player widget, New icon shapes, Suggested apps in the Dock, Improvements aimed at streaming services, Call screening improvements and more.

Announcing the Android 11 Beta update, Manoj Kumar, Senior Principal Engineer, ColorOS, OPPO, said, “With over 350 million users, OPPO is one of the key partners for Google globally that interacts with a huge and diverse user base. Working closely with the Android team, ColorOS will accumulate first-hand feedback on Android 11 Beta to identify, fix, and enhance features for Android developers and end-users.

How to Flash/Install the Android 11 Beta 1 on Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro

  1. Download the Android 11 Beta 1 package for your particular phone and save it in the phone’s storage.
  2. Turn OFF your Oppo phone and press the power button + volume down button to boot into the recovery mode.
  3. Now select install from storage after that you have to select the Android 11 Beta 1 package and then tap on install.
  4. While the installation is in the process do not perform any operation on phone.
  5. Once the process is complete you have to restart your phone. After that, your phone will run on Android 11 Beta 1 for developers.

As it is a Beta version of Android 11, Oppo has listed some known issues and these issues will be rectified in future betas. The issues are listed below you can see that.

  1. Making a video call might fail some times. This can be addressed by restarting your phone.
  2. Your phone would not detect a simulated 4-pole earphone jack and audio would play through the speaker.
  3. Charging using the CDP charger would fail.
