Android wear is an official smartphone software from Google. Long back Android wear 1.0 was released and from then major Android wear updates are hardly seen. Many smartwatches from Huawei, LG and Fossil already received Android wear 2.0 update. The watch in question now is Zenwatch 2 and Zenwatch 3. Asus confirmed in a press release that Zenwatch 2 and Zenwatch 3 will receive Android Wear 2.0 update on July 11.
Android Wear 2.0 update will release in two batches. One on July 11 and then next update will be in end of July/ beginning of August. The first batch of updates will be released for Zenwatch 3 and next batch is expected to be released for Zenwatch 2.
Meanwhile some sources reported that 1.63 inch Zenwatch 2 will get the Android wear 2.0 update in July, and 1.45 inch will get it in August. The information is obtained from German Asus Twitter account.
