As reported by several users on Reddit and OnePlus forums their OnePlus 6’s display shows flickering when viewed under the direct sunlight. This issue generally happens when auto brightness mode on the device is turned on. It seems like the brightness level of the display is changing frequently which is causing that flickering issue. As suggested by users this bug is more noticeable when viewing content with White and Vibrant colors. This bug is faced by a limited amount of users for now and it can be fixed by an update.
This was first witnessed in the OxygenOS 5.1.8 and we were expecting it to get fixed in the new OxygenOS 5.1.9 software update but in reality, nothing has changed yet.
Fix OnePlus 6 display flickering issue
