To better serve those who have hearing loss, the South Korean technology giant wants to introduce new customizing and fine-tuning possibilities. Samsung has announced a new update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. The new OTA update now offers improvements to the Ambient Sound mode and will go live in the upcoming weeks. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are Samsung’s latest TWS earbuds, and one of the best out there currently. The company launched this pair in August last year alongside the Galaxy Watch 5 series and the new foldable.
The Ambient Sound feature on these headphones may be customized on three different levels right out of the box. You may adjust the feature to let in the ideal amount of ambient sound while listening to music or other audio content, depending on your requirements and preferences.

You will now have a total of five possibilities for customizing ambient sound thanks to the next update, which will introduce two additional levels. By letting in more surround sound, the additional levels will help those with hearing loss communicate with their surroundings more effectively.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro “significantly improved speech perception in those with mild-to-moderate hearing loss,” according to a clinical trial conducted by the Hearing Aid and Ageing Research Laboratory at the University of Iowa. The results of a comparable trial carried out by Samsung Medical Centre were the same.
Users of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will now have more options to choose from when adjusting their left and right audio settings as a result of this change. That’s because Samsung lets you individually adjust the Ambient Sound volume for each bud. By choosing one of the five phases, from Soft to Clear, you may also specify the Ambient Sound tone. Similarly, a function called adaptive ambient sound is also available on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
