Google Allo has become one of the best messaging apps by Google. For that reason last month Google had also launched the web version of Allo, it’s chat app. But the web version did lack some features which are there on the app. Feature such as whisper/shout and emoji/GIF feature were available in Allo mobile app, but not on the web version.
But the good news is that, Google Allo has also added these features to the web version too. This feature of emoji/sticker/GIF search is known as ‘smart smiley’. Now you need to just search for the emoji or GIF or your required sticker by just entering the required keyword. The best part is that the search is pretty fast.
After you enter the required keyword of the needed emoji/GIF you get the results on the left side of the carousel. Though GIF search is a two click process. After you find the required GIF on the right side, you need to again click the GIF search icon and after that you get the required GIF’s. But I feel even the process is two fold that’s fine as it’s worth it.
Now, like on Allo smartphone app, users can even use the whisper/shout feature on it’s web services. Under this service, users can decrease the size of their text to the smallest one, indicating a whisper. On the other hand, users can increase the size of the text that means shout. For doing this after typing the text you need to click the send button for about 5-6 seconds.
These new features have made Allo one of the best apps in messaging industry. Let’s hope Google introduces more such interesting features.
