Google Pixel 2 spotted running Android Q

Amid the Android Q beta launch news, Pixel 2 has been spotted running on the upcoming Android version. In a new benchmark listing at Geekbench, Google’s Pixel 2 device is seen running on Android Q. It is a strong coincidence or indication that the Android Q beta is just around the corner.

The sheet does not reveal any other information despite its codename and operating system. It is listed as an unknown device but thanks to the “walleye” codename – aka Google Pixel 2. Other specifications of the Pixel 3 remains the same as usual.

Rather than these indications, there’s no official confirmation from Google’s side regarding the Android Q beta launch. The Developer Preview of Android Q is expected to launch at Google I/O conference on May 7.

As far as the features are concerned, the Android Q will be featuring system-wide dark mode. It is a long-awaited feature also coming with desktop mode compatibility. All other leaks and rumors about its features are mere assumptions.

Well, the recent leak can also be treated as an informal piece of information that Google Developers wants to pass-on. The new benchmark listing is confirming two different news. One is that Google has baked the Android Q and the other is its readiness for Pixel 2 devices.

Let’s wait for and watch for the official announcement of Android Q beta.
