Moto G4 starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo Update in Brazil


Finally, Motorola starts rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo update to Moto G4 in Brazil. However, Although its time for Android Pie, But Moto G4 was launched in 2016 and manufacturers now days only gives updates until 18 Months. The company has promised in 2017 that they will give Android 8.1 Oreo Update. Now the Moto G4 Users gets the Android 8.1 Oreo Update.

The update packs with all the goodies of Android 8.1 Oreo, like Picture in Picture mode, auto fill, notification channels, new revamped settings app, new notification center, and several others. Now the new firmware of the phone after the update will be OPJ28.111-22. Along with Oreo, the update is also packed with Android Security patch for the month of December 2018.

However, the update is reported on Twitter and is currently rolling out to a small group of people in Brazil. so we expect a broader rollout in the coming days. Recently, Motorola has updated its Moto G4 Plus to Android 8.1 Oreo in India.
