After receiving some slack for cloning the OnePlus 5 in the image of the iPhone 7 Plus, the Chinese OEM got some good news. OnePlus has been taking registrations of the iPhone 7 Plus look alike on JD.com and it is receiving some serious response.
The registrations have reached more than 5.27 lakh. Call it an iPhone clone. Call it bad design or whatever you want. It is just for users who are interested in buying the phone. The phone will go official on June 20 globally ay elite events. It will go on sale in China on Tuesday, and two days after that in India on June 22nd.
Speaking of India, Amazon India, outed a video teaser on TV during the India vs Pakistan cricket match. The teaser displayed the whole black phone in all its glory. The company also launched a contest by tweeting “Caught our ad during the #IndvsPak match? Tweet a screenshot of your favorite moment with #OnePlus5Launch & get a chance to win the phone!” on its Twitter handle. The ad clearly shows the dual camera design, the iPhone-ish looks, and the slim profile all but confirmed. So hang tight, it is just one day more.
