OnePlus 7 and 7T Starts receiving Android 10-based OxygenOS final update

A couple of months back, the first Open Beta of Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series. Now, the company has started rolling out the Android 10-based OxygenOS final update to both the OnePlus 7 and 7T smartphones. The update with the OxygenOS 10.3.8 Firmware version is rolling out Globally and in Indian markets for the OnePlus 7 and 7T Series.

What’s new?

According to the release note, the update comes with the January 2021 Security patch, an update for the GMS package to 2020.09, and it also brings improvements to the stability of the system. The changelog of this update is as follows.

System
  • Updated Android Security Patch to 2021.01
  • Updated GMS package to 2020.09 (except 7 Pro 5G EU)
  • Improved the stability of the system (7 Pro 5G EU)

Alike all the other updates, it is also spinning out in a phased manner which means a set of random users will receive the update now. After the successful verification, everyone will be receiving the update within a week. You can also check the update status manually by heading over to Settings>Software updates>Check for the updates. We also suggest you to switch over to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges. In case if you can’t wait to install the update then download the OTA file by following below and flash it manually.
