[Update: April 2021 Security Patch] Galaxy Tab A 10 Update Tracker

The Galaxy A 10 tablets by Samsung are mid-range devices providing almost identical features to the users. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 was released in 2018 powering Android 8 (Oreo) coupled with Snapdragon 450. On the other hand, the new version of Galaxy Tab A 10.1 was announced a couple of years back with Android 9.0 (Pie) and Exynos 7904 chipset. Both of the tabs provide an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP snapper at the front.

Galaxy Tab A 10 Update Tracker

  • [April 29, 2021]: Samsung is releasing the April 2021 security patch update to the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. The build arriving on firmware version T595XXS4CUD1 is currently live in the UK. The update doesn’t bring any major changes to the user experience. Internally, it brings fixes for several critical vulnerabilities, including 21 fixes from Samsung and more than 30 fixes that Google terms as severe. Furthermore, it will probably arrive with bug fixes and stability improvements.

The update is rolling out in batches to the different serial numbers. So, Galaxy Tab A 10 duo owners can expect the update notification to reach them anytime soon. But if you’re feeling particularly impatient, you can attempt triggering the download manually. To do this, head to Settings > Software update, and click Download and install.
