Verizon Samsung Galaxy J3, J3 V (3rd Gen), J7 , J7 V (2nd Gen) and Galaxy Watch 3 receiving new updates

As we all know that the carrier-based devices get software updates a little slowly. After the June month, Verizon has pushed July 2020 Security Patch update for Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen), J3 V (3rd Gen), J7 (2nd Gen), J7 V (2nd Gen) smartphones. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 3 is also receiving an update with several new features. The update is seeding out in a phased manner and said to reach every device within a week.

The updates with PPR1.180610.011.J337VPPVRU7BTG2 firmware version is rolling out for Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen), PPR1.180610.011.J337VVRU7BTG2 for Galaxy J3 V (3rd Gen), PPR1.180610.011.J737VPPVRU7BTG2 for Galaxy J7 (2nd Gen) and last but not least, Galaxy J7 V (2nd Gen) is receiving the update on PPR1.180610.011.J737VVRU7BTG2 build number.

Getting into the update, it is spinning out with the July 2020 Patch and a few other enhancements for most of the above-mentioned devices. According to the changelog, the update brings enhancements for Caller ID. Besides these, the company has not attached any new features.  It means that the update is pushed to improve the smartphone’s security and performance. Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Update

The new update for the Galaxy Watch 3 arrives as the R845/R855USQU1BTG6 version and it comes with some new features. It includes SpO2 measurement, VO2Max, and Advanced Run Coaching. Moreover, the update also fuels improvements and optimizations. The changelog is as follows.

  • SpO2 Measurement – Monitor blood oxygen levels for fitness and wellness
  • VO2Max – Track heart and lung endurance during exercise
  • Advanced Run Coaching – Post-run data and analysis to improve running performance

As the update takes a few days to hit all the devices, meanwhile, you can check it manually by heading to Settings>Software updates>Check for updates.
