Xiaomi Mi 6 vs Galaxy S8 in benchmark results via Geekbench

This is the time when most of the OEMs launch their flagships. Already, LG has launched its LG G6 with bigger screen and smaller overall size of device. The Huawei has also launched its Mate 9 with some pretty amazing specs. Sony has already come up with Xperia XZ Premium and few other variants sporting the Snapdragon 835. Samsung announced its Galaxy S8 and S8+ last month with the same Snapdragon processor boosted by 4 GB of RAM.

Now is the time for the Xiaomi. They are already late by few weeks due to unavailability of Snapdragon 835 (as cited by sources). Now the device is ready for launch on April 19th in Beijing. In a fresh spell, we have got its benchmark scores over the Geekbench. In a surprise it has surpassed the galaxy S8 results in single core and multi-core testing.

Xiaomi Mi 6 managed to score 2006 in single core and 6438 in multi-core. If we compare it with the Samsung Galaxy S8 scores of 1916 and 6011 then we can see there’s legitimate change in figures. If it is true then it is going to be a competitive device against the Galaxy S8 in some of the markets.

We hope it is true even if it is original Mi 6. As companies these days tinkler with their devices to perform better on the benchmark apps. Recently, OnePlus was caught tinkering the benchmark results of their OnePlus 3 device.

Additionally, Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a Snapdragon 835 chipset carrying an octa-core CPU (which was running at 1.90GHz for the test) and the Adreno 540 GPU. There’s a 6GB of RAM included and Android 7.1.1 runs the show.
