YouTube Music quietly adds the enhanced playlist discoverability

YouTube Music quietly gains an enhanced playlist discoverability feature to it. Google keeps on adding new and improved features to the YouTube Music app now and then. This new feature is somewhat similar to Spotify’s new personalized feature that lets the users discover new music of their taste.

The new feature has added an option of ‘Related Playlists’ at the bottom of the playlists. The option is quite similar to the ‘Recommended’ section that is present at the bottom of the now playing list. The addition of this feature includes both the playlists- one that Google algorithms generate. The other is as per the users who share similar tastes and preferences on music. This seems similar to that of Spotify but is far better in terms of user-friendliness. However, the algorithms may not always be right and may show music options that may never match the user’s choices.

The new feature of the music app was visible on the web app around a month ago, followed by iPhone and Android phones. However, Google has not made any official announcement yet regarding the new update. Although the update is a small one, it is quite convenient for the users now to filter out their music libraries.
