Asus Zenfone 6 was launched a couple of years back with Android 9.0 (Pie). Last month, the smartphone received a new update with Android 11 based firmware in India. Now that the device is engaging the latest OS version, the Taiwan giant is also seeding the fresh security patch by Google, March 2021 to ZenFone 6.
The current update has started rolling out today that carries the firmware version 18.0610.2103.137 to the handset. This is a minor build and does not carry any other changes in features or system modifications. The only attribute it drives is the enhanced security and performance improvements with the device’s stability.

The OTA update is making its way to different serial numbers in a phased manner. If you are a ZenFone 6 user, you will soon receive the update or you can give it a manual check via the phone’s Settings > System Updates > System, the security patch will flash here if it is available for your device. As mentioned above, the phone was launched in 2019 featuring a 6.4-inch screen with IPS LCD, HDR10 display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It is fueled by Android 9.0 (Pie) which is up-gradable to Android 11 (ZenUI) paired with a Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) chipset and Adreno 640 GPU. The device is available in three storage variants i.e; 64 GB/ 6 GB RAM, 128 GB/ 6 GB RAM and 256 GB/ 8 GB RAM. Zenfone 6 carries a motorized flip-up camera module consisting of dual 14MP wide and 13MP ultrawide sensors.
