At Google I/O 2017, Google introduced Android Go – a new initiative that features optimized apps and Play Store for smartphones with low-end specs. Android Go meant to benefit a large base of users who can’t afford high-end and expensive smartphones.
Since then Google is proactively working on “Go” apps that offer smooth and fluid experience on cheap smartphones.

Earlier, Google has already launched YouTube Go and Maps Go with Gboard lite version as the latest app to join the ‘Go’ list of apps. Although, the all-new Gboard Go app hasn’t been listed on the Play Store for download.

Gboard Go allows users to use the Google’s keyboard with most of the useful features at minimal RAM usage.

Instead, Google is rolling out the Gboard Go app to all low-end smartphones running Android 8.1 Oreo. The new Gboard Go app is just 38 MB in size compared to the full version of the app which weighs around 70 MB.

The ‘Go’ apps were specifically designed to run on low RAM smartphones and thus will work on limited number of smartphone models only.

Users can get the GBoard lite app from the source link below and enjoy it.
