Material You arrives on Google Camera 8.3 with new UI tweaks

With the launch of Android 12, Google revealed their new design language – Material You. Google intends to apply the new design language to all of its apps. Material You decide the color scheme for your device according to the wallpaper. Recently, we have seen other apps like Google Messages adopt the new design language and now the remaining ones are receiving the famous facelift. With the release of Android 12 Beta 3, Google unveiled Google Camera with the Material You design for the first time.

The new Google Camera 8.3 comes with the new Material You design. The quick setting menu in the camera app now uses Material You colors for its elements such as quick zoom, mode switcher, and many more. You can also observe these changes inside the main setting page, even the setting icon is changed now. There is no gear icon on the quick setting menu to enter the main setting. Instead, there is a large button with more settings written on it.

There are no dividing lines between each section on the settings page, you will find colored subheadings that are dividing the sections. Google also changed the font inside the app, now you will find the Google Sans font inside the quick settings and main settings. The app also shows a promo of the quick access gesture to open Google Camera

Google has not released the new Google Camera 8.3 on the Play Store. The app is available for Android 12 Beta 3 users only and may release this app for everyone with the final stable build of Android 12.
