OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro are receiving OxygenOS update in India


OnePlus recently launched its OnePlus 9 series namely, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R with Android 11 based OxygenOS 11. Soon after release, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro received a maiden update. Now, the second build is rolling out for the duo that includes OxygenOS and March 2021 security patch.

The latest software for the duo is currently rolling out in India with the OxygenOS for OnePlus 9 whereas the number varies to for OnePlus 9 Pro. The update weighs approx 380MB in size and it brings system-level optimizations along with some tweaks to the Dark Mode and the camera app. Here’s the entire changelog


  • System
    ο Improved the charging stability to provide a better user experience
    ο Improved Whatsapp’s video clarity when giving video calls
    ο Improved the vibrating performance of games such as Call of duty and PUBG
    ο Fixed the issue that the time of the last full charge is reset after restarting the device
    ο Fixed the issue that the icon showing low battery is not displayed in the status bar
    ο Fixed the small probability issue that the device may restart when playing games
    ο Fixed known issues and improves system stability
    ο Update Android security patch to 2021-03
    ο Updated GMS package to 2021-02
  • Dark Mode
    ο Fixed the issue that the navigation bar of the split-screen might not be adapted to the dark mode
  • Camera
    ο Improved the sharpness, noise, and white balance of the rear camera
    ο Improved the white balance performance of the front camera
    ο Improved the Zoom performance
OnePlus 9 series was launched on March 23 this year which includes OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, while in India it also has the OnePlus 9R. For purchase purposes, OnePlus 9 will be available for orders from April 14 while the OnePlus 9 Pro is already available via the official OnePlus online store. At last, OnePlus 9R will be accessible for pre-orders later this month.
