OnePlus 9RT picks up Android 12 update based on OxygenOS 12.1

OnePlus is deliberately testing and releasing the Android 12 OS for its eligible flagships. In the latest development, the OnePlus 9RT is picking up the OxygenOS 12.1 update based on the current stable operating system.

The announcement was taken to the OnePlus community where the users claim to receive the Android 12 update. However, the company has not made any official statement yet. As of now, the software is rolling out in India bundled with the firmware version C.04, while other markets could also get it soon.

Needless to say, the package brings along a plethora of rich features and improvements. In addition, it optimizes the overall system apps, including games, camera, canvas AOD, and more. Check out the entire changelog below for precise details.

    • Work-Life Balance feature is now available to all users, allowing you to effortlessly switch between Work and Life mode via quick settings
    • WLB 2.0 now supports automatic Work/Life mode switching, based on specific locations, Wi-Fi network, and time, also bringing customized App notification profiles according to the personalization

    • Gallery now allows you to switch between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content, making the gallery layout more pleasing

    • Optimized categorization of functions by grouping them into vision, hearing, interactive actions, and general

As always, the OTA update is rolling out in batches. The users will receive the notification in a short while. Alternatively, you can also track the build manually via Settings > Software update.
