RealmeUI 3.0 based on Android 12 update arrives for Realme 8 5G

Realme has been busy rolling out the realmeUI 3.0 updates to its smartphones. The latest addition to the list of realmeUI 3.0 received smartphones is the Realme 8 5G smartphone. The device gets the realmeUI 3.0 update based on Android 12. It is live for Indian users and comes with the firmware version number RMX3241_11.C.03. The update will be eligible for any Realme 8G smartphone running on firmware RMX3241_11.A.16. It will include changes from both realmeUI and Android 13.

The significant change in the update is the complete change in the design of the user interface. It offers a clean and comfortable visual and interactive experience. It will also use Material UI to redesign the interface. The update will also improve the privacy and security features of the smartphone. The Quick Launch feature will help you to access your frequent apps. The frame rate of games has also been stabled during fight scenes. • FlexDrop is renamed as Flexible Windows and is optimized:

– Optimizes the method of switching the floating windows between different sizes.

• Optimizes spam block rules: Adds a rule for blocking MMS messages.

• Adds Quick launch, a feature that detects the apps you use frequently and pre-loads them so you can open them quickly.

• Adds a chart to display your battery usage.

Games

• In team fight scenes, games run more smoothly at a stable frame rate.

• Reduces the CPU load average and lowers the battery usage.

Camera

• You can now decide which camera modes are displayed on the menu bar and in what order they are displayed.

System

• Optimizes the auto brightness algorithm to adapt screen brightness to more scenes for a comfortable screen reading experience.

Accessibility

• Optimizes accessibility:

– Adds visuals to text instructions for an intuitive understanding of accessibility functions.

– Optimizes categorization of functions by grouping them into vision, hearing, interactive actions and general.

– TalkBack supports more system apps including Photos, Phone, Mail, and Calendar.

Realme has confirmed that the rollout will be in batches and will take some time to reach every unit of Realme 8 5G. The broader rollout will start only after the confirmation from users who received the update. The links for the manual download link aren’t available at the moment.
