The fresh package for the Redmi Note 9 is rolling out for Global and Russian variants of the device, while other regions will also get a hit soon. The update can be identified by firmware version V12.0.1.0.RJOMIXM for the global version, while the number varies to V12.0.1.0.RJORUXM  for Russian models.
Concerning changes, needless to say, the package will bring all the Android 11 features to the device such as revamped UI, enhanced dark theme mode, in-build screen recorder, smart media control, lock screen conversations, one-time permissions, chat bubbles, and other improvements or customizations.

For those unaware, the Redmi Note 9 is also known as Redmi 10X 4G in China. As per norms, the Chinese variant of the device received the Android 11 update prior to the global version. In fact, the smartphone was the first to grab the latest stable channel in its home country.

However, the software is currently under the stable beta phase, which means it will initially roll out to selective units. After assuring that there are no critical bugs, the company will push a border rollout.
