Xiaomi Mi 9 was introduced a couple of years back with Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI 10. Surprisingly, the phone went out of stock within 53 seconds at the first flash sale. It later got updated to Android 10 based MIUI 11 and then MIUI 12 the following year. Now, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is getting upgraded to Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 skin on top.
The latest software for Xiaomi Mi 9 is rolling out in China with firmware version V18.104.22.168.RFACNXM. The build will eventually make way for international variants by the next month. Moreover, the package also carries the last month’s security patch by Google, April 2021.
Talking about the changes, the package will carry all the Android 11 goodies like chat bubbles, native screen recorder, smart device and media control, one-time permissions, and so on.
